Where does Choo Choo get its information?

Different parts of Choo Choo get their information from different sources. Here is a quick breakdown.

Ticket prices and journey planning

Ticket prices and journey options come from Choo Choo's ticketing partner, Raileasy. They are an industry leader in rail ticketing and split ticketing, and are the same engine that powers the prices you see when you search.

Live train times and delays

Live train times, platform information, and delay data come from the official National Rail Darwin data feeds. Darwin collects real-time data from all train operating companies and Network Rail, and is the same source used across the industry.

Delay Repay Alerts

When your train is delayed, Choo Choo's notifications are also powered by the Darwin feeds. When Darwin reports a delay that meets your operator's Delay Repay threshold, we send you an notification is you have these enabled or you can check in our 'Notifications' tab on the app.
